Parts available from Schneider Pipe Organs:

If your church is on an austere budget, then we can be of assistance in providing the re-building an "experienced" pipe organ that has either been replaced or otherwise become redundant, but is still quite capable of meeting the Worship needs of a congregation who may appreciate it. We would need to gather details by means of an on-site inspection visit of the intended worship space, plus what may be available at the moment in the form of a "nucleus" instrument. Further inquiries are cordially invited.

We also have collected over the years a variety of pipes and parts.

Experienced Organs

This organ was originally constructed using an "experienced" Slider Chest and re-voiced pipework as a low-cost residence "Practice Machine" for the current owner.  Additional pictures can be found here; further information on the sale can be found here.

This organ is a Barckhoff tracker from the old St. Paul's Universalist Church in Clinton, IL.  Additional pictures and information can be found here.

This is a professionally restored (and tuned!) Reed Organ in an elegant Walnut case. The Instrument has two banks of reeds which are activated by the various drawknobs across the middle above the Keyboard. The cloth behind the grilles has been renewed and the elegant solid Walnut casework completely re-finished and restored.

The Feeders, Reservoir and mechanism have been completely re-built and restored in a Professional Pipe Organ Shop. Afterward, the reeds were carefully tuned (a rarity with reed organs!)

There is a storage space for music above the Music Rack.

Two hurricane shaded candle holders are fitted on the outside of the case.

Exact specifications and dimensions upon request.

** SOLD **

This is a tracker action Gedackt Continuo organ suitable for use accompanying Baroque ensembles and similar uses. Its strong sound can carry a small congregation of singers in a church or other lively acoustic.

The action is direct mechanical (meaning you are opening the valves with finger pressure instead of electricity or other "remote" means.

This instrument was manufactured new by Schneider Pipe Organs, Inc. of Kenney, IL as its Opus 16 in 1986. It has been rented out to various groups over the years and utilizes a small, self-contained blower/reservoir to provide the necessary windpressure.

Click here for a complete description of the organ, including more views of it, from our Opus listing.

Pipe Organ Pipework and Parts

These are some "Horkin' huge" Principal pipes built by Casavant in 1949. This includes the Windchest which the pipes stand on for the largest pipes. The smallest pipes (there are 80 of them total!) stood on a windchest that was part of the instrument that is not available.

If necessary, a suitable windchest can be found.

These pipes are best suited for large church organs of 3 or more manual keyboards, such as built by Æolian-Skinner, Moller or Casavant.

Professional installation can be arranged by the seller, which is a professional pipe organ company in central Illinois.

Exact scaling information upon request.

"Unusual" items

This is an Antique Produce Scale such as was found on the grocery counters in many turn-of-the-century General stores in rural America. The scale was built by the Computing Scale Company of Dayton, Ohio, USA. It is Style 1344 and is Serial # 323494. It is capable of weighing up to 30# of items on its heavy glass scale platform. There is a graph showing different prices for different items, which is how the scale "computes" the selling price.

This is a rare scale in excellent condition physically & mechanically and is still dead-accurate!
